Commission appointments

Hong Kong’s chief executive has re-appointed the chairman of the Harbourfront Commission along with eight incumbent members. It has also appointed two new individuals to the commission for a term of two years, with effect from the 1st of July 2026.

Ivan Ho Man-yiu is reappointed as the chairman and the reappointed individual members are Sunnie Lau Sing-yeung, Jonathan Leung Chun, Lawrence Li Kwok-chang, Jason Shum Jiu-sang, Bondy Wen Tsz-kit, Eric Yeung Chuen-sing, Frankie Yeung Wai-shing and Yiu Pak-leung. The newly appointed individual members are Stanley Choi Tak-shing and Sam Lok Hom-ning.
      
Welcoming the appointments, the secretary for development, Bernadette Linn, said: “The newly appointed and re-appointed members come from different professional backgrounds and can inject new perspectives into harbourfront development. My team and I look forward to continuing our collaboration with the commission under the leadership of Ivan Ho to further enhance the vibrancy of harbourfront development and create better experiences for our citizens and visitors.”
      
Established in 2010, the Harbourfront Commission advises the government on Victoria Harbour’s harbourfront planning, design, management and other related matters.
